Three Must See Sights in Santa Fe, NM…..

Hello fellow travelers! I hope you all are exploring! Well, as much as you can be in this unusual time. Santa Fe, NM is one of my favorite places on Earth, if you have read my blog before you know this. Nothing about New Mexico is small time, it’s beauty and connection to the magic of it’s people and the land is other worldly. It’s an experience I have blogged about many times before. But, I have a had a few new experiences that I must share, if you go to Santa Fe, NM these are a must do.

Santa Fe Mountain Adventures

If you go to Santa Fe, this adventure is fantastic! We did it for my son’s 6th birthday and it was absolute heaven. There are several tours you can take, we did the Diablo Canyon Tour and it was everything I imagined it to be. The tour started with them picking up us at our hotel, in a Pinzgauer Jeep wagon. Our guide, Georges, was friendly and knowledgeable about the area and told us infinite amounts of information about the history and stories of the people of Santa Fe. Riding in the jeep was exciting and freeing, travelling through the mountains and sand beds connected me to the land and the people who came before. We hiked through Diablo canyon, learning about the history and realizing just how small we really are in this natural world. https://www.santafemountainadventures.com/4×4-by-fun/

Lunch at The Rooftop Terrace Garden Patio of La Fonda-

I have been to the La Plazuela restaurant inside of La Fonda hundreds of times, but the Rooftop Terrace Garden Patio is a stunner. In warmer weather you get this incredible view of the Basilica of St. Francis and with all the flowers and the ringing bell, you just know you are in a magical place. The food is delicious as well, sip a margarita while your gazing at this spiritual wonder.

The Shed Restaurant-

I have said it before, I will say it again and ten more times if I need to. Eat at the Shed if you do nothing else. This restaurant is always on our list as the first stop after our long drive from Denver, CO. You can just meander through the main square and trust me, you will see a line of people waiting to get in. The food never disappoints and the patio is lovely. Authentic New Mexican style food and margaritas that are divine, are a sinful part of your travels to New Mexico. They should be indulged in frequently!
